Fan art poster design for the first season of HBO's True Detective. This is one of those shows that really stood the test of time. I'd even go as far to say that it is one of HBO's finest seasons. I wanted this illustration to really lean into the show's dark mystique and hint at certain occult imagery that is prevalent throughout the season. Of course this poster wouldn't be complete without the two bickering leads, Marty Hart and Rust Cohle. Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey really carried this show through the depths and into the light, so I had to have them both front and center.
